RTFM????

I am a member of a couple of different forums, all of which have helped me alot. And if I may add, I have given good information to newbies in return.
I posted once in this forum and I got great help, that I desperately needed.

Now, my question is:

Why are many of you so hard on newbies who can't comprehend many of the features the mpc has to offer. I am a reason user by heart, I just recently purchased a 2500 a month ago and I am taking my time figuring out the thing. I often won't post here because of repeated sarcasim I read on others post.
RTM, RTFM, and Why did you buy a piece of equipment you can't comprehend?
I was in love with reason so much, I boiled over at the opportunity to introduce it to others the way I knew it.
I thank those in here that are knowledgable and have shared info with us newbies, but some of guys are insensitive at times. I don't believe in not reading the manual and coming here first for quick tips, but not all of us are like that. Some us us, like me, have a different mindset when it comes to the 2500. So when I post questions, please remember my name. I read the manual but not everything is cut and dry for me!

I AGREE... i think it's a lame attempt to reply... either you don't reply or you do with the requested info... this is the only forum i vist where i constantly hear RTFM... to be honest - it has gotten much better as of late though... it use to be like in every thread almost...

The only people that are going to agree with this post are the people that have stupid questions and people that start useless threads. The MPC manual has all the info that you could ever need. If you dont understand it, USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION IN THIS SITE! Every dumb question that people ask has been asked 1000 times before and the answer lies in wait, People just dont want to take the time to READ. To the person that posted this, do use all a favor, read your manual and if you have questions, use this sites SEARCH function! If you have a question that isn't answered by your manual or the forum already, feel free to PM me and I will help you out(Though as I already stated, any question you have has already been answered numerous times before). I personally just get tired of reading the same posts everyday. Thats why a lot of us just say, "RTFM." The 2500 forum in paticular has gotten really bad lately with a lot of new and lazy users. Just take a look at threads! " What kind of HD should I get?", "Does the CD burner, burn wavs?" Blah, blah, blah. Do a search on any of those topics and you'll get 100+ threads from the past. This is why a lot of the good users that share valuable info aren't on here as much anymore. Get a F U # K I N G clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you read my post, I said that I READ THE MANUAL, I will only ask questions that are not clear to me MR DCKHEAD! The only question I ever asked was not even covered in the manual, gratefully someone assisted ne in retrieving the info.
Why are you dumb enough to read an entire post that does not make sense and then respond to it with sarcasm, you have waaay too much time on your hand.! Whenever you see I have a new post, do me a favor? Don't even open it! The majority of people here are not like you, thank God. I'm sure have a whole heap of STUPID questions about some other subject! Now you get a clue You BRAINLESS A$$HOLE!

Trumpspade, welcome to the forum. I have no problems with new members asking questions no matter how simple or silly. But that is just me though. I can't speak for the rest of the forum members. I rather save my barbs for expert forum members not the newer members (unless you insult me)

Whoa there stupid. I was just giving my opinion. I was also trying to help you out. This post was obviously a heads up from you. You were letting us know that you are going to have dumb questions and you didn't want us to answer with. "RTFM." Like I said, if you have a question that isn't answered by the manual and this site, PM and I will gladly help you. I was just giving my opinion about the state of the 2500 forum and letting you the other new people on the site know that your questions have already been asked and answered. No need to throw a fit stupid. Oh and good luck with learning MIDI...............

Jahrome, its all good. I didn't mean you. I'm sure you know of few members that fit that description though.

I would check my sentence structure before calling someone a,"BRAINLESS A$$HOLE!"

I went ahead and gave a link for the software he requested. Then he asked if it worked with the 2000XL. I thought maybe it didn't say on the page linked. So I checked and noticed that it did. I'm all for helping people out but sometimes it's so **** out of hand.

How exactly am I an example? Do you think about what you are going to say or do you just type and that you are able to articulate your thoughts? Thats the thing stupid, I don't need your help. Anything that I DO need help with is searchable, which is what I was trying to tell you. You just took it wrong. Just so your little mind can understand, I was only telling you to PM me if you couldn't find the answer to your question in the manual or on this site. Did you read the part about me telling you that all your questions have already been asked and answered? In other words, you wouldn't have to PM me...... Get it now?
My man mrcrappypantson just gave an example of what we regular users deal with all the time. I was just trying to point you in the right direction and save you and us time. I guess you just can't comprehend that. I hope you have better luck comprehending the 2500!

it says right on the inside cover: "Caution - use may result in a highly sarcastic and condescending attitude toward others."

of course you'd know that if you read the manual.
