I've had my mpc for about a month and a half. I also have a motif es soundmodule and a edrole midiboard. My problem is I don't know if or will the Mpc play the midi notes directly from the mpc jack. I only here the metronome but it plays fine from the sound module.

first I suggest reading the manual ,and get as much understanding as you can.You have diagrams in the front or back on how to setup with what you have,Second do a search on this forum and then come back in and be alittle more specific. This will help better assist you. jus be alittle more patience and you should be pounding mad beats soon. 8)

i have the 2500, the motif-rack es, and a midi keyboard as well. here's how i have mine set up.

KEYBOARD MIDI OUT > MPC MIDI IN
MPC MIDI OUT > MOTIF MIDI IN

Now as long as you have the corresponding channels set up on the MPC and MOTIF correctly, you should be able to play from the keys or the pads of the MP.

remember with more than one module, you have to chain the last as Thru.

...and remember that you need midi connections for the data transfer AND audio connections to hear something...
if you want the sound from your module going through your mpc you need to turn on input through (if you are on a 2500, dunno for the other models).

ok, so i have the midi cables conected correctly and from what you are telling me in order to here the souds from the mpc(from the sound module) I must have the headphone out leading to my input on the mpc  When I do that, the sound quality is degraded way to much.

OH, and i can play the sound that come from the sound module i just can't hear them ON THE MPC. i only here them by the racks headphone input, wich is difficult for sampiling?

Ok..... Let's start from scratch! first ? do you have a mixer? second this is not going to be resolved back n forth. so hit me up on instance message it's alot quicker. if not that way then let's take one step at a time begining with what setup you have. :?

yup, that's right. i forgot to mention that. though by preference, I like to just use another letter Midi Out from the MPC.
