Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

hey everybody..im using the mpc 2500, and yamaha motif es rack , and i was wondering how can i change the the sound of the motif while changing tracks and not changting the other tracks melody or sound?.. i usually have to record it in the mp and then when i do that it sounds wack... plz let me know.. thnx

Put the Motif in multi/performance mode where you can assign 16 instruments/voices to each MIDI channel. If you keep it in voice mode, you can only use a single MIDI channel.

What jahrome said... but to add to it, on the main screen of the MPC, the lower right-hand corner labeled "Midi:" 1A, 2A, 3A etc (considering that your MIDI OUT A is going to your Motif), corresponds to the Part 1, 2, 3, etc. on the rack.

if you highlight the No.1 Program field and press the windows button you can use MSB / LSB to change the banks.
