I turned my MPC on today and all was good, i left it on and came back a few hours later to find a line of dead pixles across the bottom of the LCD. The line sits right through the 'T.C., CLICK,TR -, TR +, MUTE and SOLO' tabs so it's very annoying. I changed the contrast back and forth, i did a factory reset and even reinstalled the OS, nothing fixed it! What can i do?

Nothing. It's gone. But I don't see how that could've happened so soon. You have a new unit, right?

Dam It! Yeah it's new had it for 10 months! Guess i gotta get it fixed under warranty, problem is i'm leaving Melbourne to live in Osaka in 2 weeks and i dont think they will repair it in time. Is there anything at all i can do?

Sorry man, but it needs to be replaced. If you still got the two year warranty, wait til you get back. It's no biggie.

I suppose Akai will refer you to the dealer where you bought it.

mail akai directly thru the website n they will sell you a replacement one. you'll need to fit it yourself but im told it only takes ten/fifteen minutes

Hey Thanks everyone! I spoke to the store that i bought it from and they gave me the details of the service center. I called them and was able 2 drop it off 2 them today, they said it would b fixed in a day or 2 under the warranty!
When i go 2 pick it up i'm gonna ask for the old screen so i can mess wid changing the colour of the screen. Lets see if they give it 2 me. keep ya all posted once i start messing wid it.

Damn Mr Cee, it seems that you have not resolved you're problem since you bought the 2500.

I checked out the thread above this post, and noticed you had power up problems for a couple of months. Why don't you contact you're dealer / place of purchase. If you're mpc is still under warranty, get it fixed.

IF you will be in osaka you will be closer to getting it fixed than you think. You can just mail it to akai directly in Japan to one of the service centers and get it fixed there. Hopefully you speak Japanese well
