Threshold?

Hello, when I record the beat to the main out, what Threshold should I choose? I just don´t get it. What sounds the best? Now I go with the -63 or something, its one step away from the unlimited threshold? Please help me I just don´t know what to choose from.

i think you may be confused as to what threshold does.

when you're in record mode and you hit record, you can see there's a button for start and cancel. when a sound hits the level of the threshold, it will automatically "start" recording so that you don't have to hit that start button.

if you set the threshold to unlimited, you won't have the option to press "start", it will just automatically start recording.

threshold doesn't make the recording sound better. it just sets the volume at which the input signal will cause the sampler to start recording.

I played around a bit with it today...and it seemed that the resampling was smoother when the threshold is higher, somewhere in the middle, somewhere around -20. Meaning it doesn't seem to start the sequence cleanly...you have to try it yourself to know what I mean.

I thought this couldn't be the case, cause it just has to copy WAVE data basically, but it does. Maybe it's not the same with all sequences, or it's just another OS bug...

How come when i resample through the main outs, the sample comes out way quiter than the original sample i sampled from? I tried adjusting the master volume but that didnt help. Can anyone help me on this, it's been buggin me for a while now

You might wanna try and up the record gain...not the master volume.
I haven't tried this myself though, but I think that should to the trick

I think the Rec Gain does not make a difference when you resample the Mains.

I think it's normal, when sampled at lower quality. Most 12 bit samplers are very soft. but then, what do I know? i never messed with resampling.
