Recycle Chops Dropping to 2500

Most of the time when I drop samples I chopped in recycle into the 2500 they are unplayable. I mean it will play the first chop of the sample and thats about it. Sometimes they will all work. I experimented with every possibility, (made sure they were 44.1k 16-bit, stereo, mono) it doesn't make a difference. It just boils down to they sometimes do and don't work.

Now this was one of better selling points for me that you are supposed to be able to just drop your recycles file to the mp and is frustrating that it doesn't reallly work. I worked on a lot of different drum samples that I will now probably have to resample

Anybody have any solutions or have the same problem?

After you chop, how are you exporting? What file type are you using? I have and use recycle and I have not had a problem at all. I always export in 16bit, .Wav files. Maybe you are using an un-supported file type or 24bit.....?

yeah, I export using 16-bit as I already said. I don't know, I will keep experimenting with various formats to try and solve it.
Do I need to get an upgrade or something?

I don' know everythign you are doing, but I have exported recycle chops to MPC 1k/4k with no problem, so I think you may be doing something wrong.

No, I don't think I am doing anything wrong, i am exporting 44.1k, 16-bit wav files...it doesn't seem anyone has had this problem so I will continue to tinker with it. I am running 1.0 on the mp, and osx tiger on my mac.

No need to get testy. Maybe try and update your OS..... If that doesnt work then try customer support from propellarhead.

That´s very odd. I use sometimes recycle with mac and not problema at all... Of course i export the chops in audio, not the rex file or the hole file in audio

Dude your answer is so simple it sucks how we stumbled. I had this problem the other day till I worked it out. Make sure you DONT USE more than 14 characters (Letters and numbers) when saving. If the numerics of your chops are beyond the 14th character, MPC will not recognize any of them.

yeah i had that problem had to shortin the words also dont make the names look to much the same cus iv noticed that f up my export also if the sound is about 100 in size it wont play i noticed this today funny

Chuck the computer out the window and use the mpc for what it is for...
choppin stuff. Stop using crap like recycle and do it the hard way its much more satisfying. Trust

How the hell you meant to chop up a long arse sample on a small 240 x 64 dot LCD?? I'd rather use a 19 inch monitor and recycle thank you very much

when i was a boy we chopped samples by taking a razor to tape!
