I'm a new MPC2500 owner (well, two weeks virgin).
Scenario:
I've a 1 bar drum loop and I want to stretch the last snare to twice its length.
How??
I highlight the snare and go to time-stretch, but it only seems to save it as a separate new sample! Overwrite replaces the original sample with a stretched version of the snare. This stretched version of the snare has loads of chopped-up stuttery bits of sample placed after the stretched snare, so I have to cut that off!! What's that all about?!
When you select part of a sample and reverse it, the original sample is left intact with the bit that you reversed... reversed. When you select part of a sample and time-stretch it, the original sample stops playin ball and clears off!!!
eh?
so, the only way I can do this at the moment would be to stick my stretched snare onto the end of a drum loop with it's snare cut off.
How the hell do you concatenate samples?? (i.e. paste a sample to the end of another sample).
