best/fastest way to get tracks into cpu from mpc

say i have 8 tracks or more i want to record into cpu via logic all at once on seperate tracks in logic
i thought i could just assign pads to mpcs assignable outs(in mixer mode)hit play on mpc/record in logic and im good i thought would be quickest but a interface with 8 ins is exspensive? im new to the game but can i do this thru midi? I do have a midi interface.

Midi is not audio.

8 mono outs plus hard pan main outs left/right with samples in the mixer and you have 10 mono outs.

That's ALL you get for use with an AUDIO INTERFACE.
