audio, and midi setup

so let me ask got the 2500 yamaha motif and a mbox 2 and a small mixer (xenyx802) as far as the mixer and the midi goes whats the best way to incorporate everything so I don't have to keep switchin wires all over the damn place?

Out the mbox in the 2500/ Out the 2500 in the Motif /out the motif in the 2500. When you set the record in protools everything else will start. I only use mine for syncing purposes and thats how I have it set, So the bar count will match.

yeah see I have it that way but my prob is my motif always plays the sounds coming out of my 2500 I don't want it that way I tried turning local control off on the motif but it din't work at all

might be cus u havent turned the program on the track off im not near my mpc but try this say u have drums in track 1 then use motif on track2 change drum to midi then program change it to no 1 or off then midi:1a thats if u have the motif in 1
