Digital tracking to Logic...

i know this topic has been breched once before, but i need to clear a few things up: the digital out on the 2.5 sends the stereo out with no adjustments necessary, right?

i've plugged my coaxial cable into the mpc digi out jack, converted the signal to toslink and run it into my macbook pro and into logic.

i'm getting no signal and wondering whether anyone with a similar setup could give me a little troubleshooting.

just figured out the problem... it's not the mpc. apple was stupid enough to put the toslink connection and audio line-in in the same jack and the jack's somehow stuck on audio.
