i got the firepod so i hooked the 8outs to the mpc is there a way to hear sound through the 8outs vs the stereo outs I don't have cubase open cause I just got the thing and the disk was a piece of shit and wouldn't load what I needed it to

your post is a bit confusing!
you mean the 8outs from mpc or from firepod?
i would do it like this:
connect the 8 mpc-Outs to the firepod-Ins.
connect the firepod main out to the desk for monitoring.
now you can split the tracks to different outputs in the mpc
and record them to 4 st or 8 mono tracks in cubase.
the firepod should have a softwaremixer too,after installing the software properly. you can use this software mixer to adjust the volumes of the 8 ins going to the masterout for monitoring. so the firepod works similar to any other desk.
the 8 outs of the firepod are used to route your cubasetracks to outboard fx
or an outboard summing box.
