Please Help me Hook this up right!!!!!! - MPC 2500

I am having trouble figuring something out and the manual is not too good at this topic. Can I hook a rack mount device (Motif ES Rack) to the outs on the MPC and then not have to have it hook into my Sound Card (Which is a MOTU Ultralite)??? I mean if the MPC is going to the Ultralite through the 1/4 " Jacks and the Motif is going through the MPC 1/4 " Jacks, isn't that all i need to produce sound????

Please help! I am new to the MPC.

Connect your rack to the MPC inputs and try the "Input Thru" function.

Should I input all of my racks (Motif ES, D-Station & Mo'Phatt) into the MPC outs or should I put them directly to my Sound Card (MOTU Ultralite) outs???? I can get sound on everything - Itunes, other CPU Apps even my VST's in stand alone mode, just nothing through Ableton Live, My MPC or My Hardware????????

Whatever I did when I got rid of my Yamaha MG 12/4 Mixer fouled this whole thing up and I can not fix it!!!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, first of all, don't connect your racks to your MPCs OUTS. If you want to sample them or just play them through the MPC, connect them to the Record INS and try the Input Thru function!

If you want to use multiple sound modules simultaneously, that's difficult without a mixer.

wow! really? i mean, i think it's once every so often I may actually be stumped by a question and this one is this months...

i mean, dude - for some reason you have a motif, d-station, modules, computers and an mpc but you don't understand the basic flow of signal? come on... get yourself a book and learn how to at least hook your equipment up... i know, you prob will get pissed i said such but it's the truth - you'll benefit from it - trust me
