Hy guys!!

I have a question and maybe somebody can help me out with that:

I have worked 5 years on the 2000 XL but maybe now i want to buy the 2500 BUT my only question is if i can record in a live show my drum scratches even at the same time im cuttin the drums (like with a footswitch), without to chop the sample in the edtor....

For example:

Im cutting some straight 4 Bars drums - Record them on the MPC with a footswitch and let them roll from the mpc without stoppin 8all at the same time), to go then to a bass on my record and record this (but the drums are not stoppin for the crowd).
I want to use the new mpc like a one man orchestra
and i have heard about the direct recording and direct through but nothing was exactly....

Please my MPC-Bro´s outthere in the Web

HELP MEEEEEEEE

PEACE from Vienna Austria

P.s.: Sorry for my english I hope you`ll understand me:-)

You mean, like with a Boss RC20 Loop Station or Electrix Repeater?

Sorry, but you can't do that with the MPCs. Even the Direct Recording function isn't useful for that, you always have to stop the running sequence to assign the recording to a pad and make it play.

Have a look into the Boss RC20XL or RC50 foot pedals, or the Electro Harmonix 2880 looper for that.
