MTC or MIDI clock ?

I had to format my PC last week and lost all my settings, today i was trying to re-sync the MPC 2500 to Cubase 2SX and failed all day. Which got me thinking what do you guys use to sync, MTC or MIDI clock and what are the differences between the 2 ?.

im using 1.22 OS.
