Can anyone recommend a good/decent but cheap travel case for the MPC2500. I do not normally take my MPC out of my apartment and don't plan on taking it out or gigging it habitually. But I am uptight about taking it out of my house even once (found out I might have to take it into a class for a project) so I'd like something secure for a one time deal.

I've seen the cases on eBay by NY Case company but combined with shipping they are kinda pricey (about $76).

U can hit da search button and type in the word "case" and search within in the mpc2500 section only. Its a bunch of topics on this. But just get the dimensions of the mpc2500 and get either a turntable case or mixer case or something to put it in.

yeah i've been curious about those NY Cases also. has anyone tried those? but personally i don't think $76 is expensive for a road case.

^^^ It isn't expensive for a road case. But for my situation (just wanting to take it out one time only); it is expensive.

no doubt. in that case i would take it in the box if you still have it. i've done that myself.

go to a thrift store and buy a hard suitcase. probably wouldn't be more than $10. You can go to a craft store and buy foam to pack around it. another $5. It will work fine.

I transport my 2500 nearly every day in a backpack wrapped in foil with air buffers. Where´s the problem?

Well the problem is, I live in the city. I will probably be transporting it during the daytime and the evening (possibly during rush hour) so the subway tends to get very crowded. I figure its not worth risking getting it damaged in a tiny flimsy Jansport backpack. Plus I've had quite a few backpack zippers give out on me from just carrying too much weight or large items. I'd rather have better security and protection for a piece of gear worth well over $1500.

This is what I use. Perfect. It's a gun case with cubed foam to customise the shape. 40 bucks. I take mine on the subway here in Chi all the time.

It's the vanguard VGP-13.

King Vitamin. I looked into that VGP-13 case. According to the listed interior dimension measurements of the large VGP-13, it is slightly smaller than the dimensions of the MPC2500. Are you sure thats the same case?

The price is perfect and it looks like an awesome case. I'd definitely like to get one but the measurements don't seem as tho it could fit a 2500.

I went to GC yesterday to check the Gigskinz. The big mixer bag that they had seemed too big for the 2500 to be securely in place. There was too much extra room. The Serato bag was a better fit but not terribly snug. There was still a little extra space but much better than the GigSkinz. The price was too much tho, $69.99. Manhattan GC must just suck alot because the few times I've bought stuff from there they were never willing to bargain or cut any slack on the prices. I kinda might as well get the NY Case Company ATA case if the Gigskinz is $69.99.

My bad, the one i have is actually the guardforce GDS-7236C. Guardforce makes the vanguard shit which is why i got confused.

They look identical except the guarforce is like 18" x 14" x 5" i think:

^^^ Thanks homey. I'll probably get this if I have to take my MPC out.
