When playing rack synth modules via the MPC2500 with a MIDI keyboard I can't get the MPC to record pitch or mod wheel changes.
It works in real-time but recording it seems impossible. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just not possible to do???

It is possible... it should record pitch bends and mod wheel changes, however without having to set anything.

Yup I can confirm it.

I have the Triton sequenced thru the 2500 and the wheel control changes are recorded.

this means it must be something with my MIDI keys then...
It's strange, because I've tried with two different keyboards.
Might it have something to do with the keyboards being 1 ch MIDI only?
I'll switch to use one of my other keyboards with multiple ch and see what happens...:P

Wouldnt of thought that being single channel would have anything to do with it. Seeing as you have a bunch of keyboards I'm guessing you have your midi setup correctly. Have a look here to confirm;
http://www.tweakheadz.com/how_to_get_st ... _midi.html

Check the keyboards documentation (yawn) to see what MSB / LSB CC numbers the midi wheel responds to.

MPC Manual page 21 / 22 - Selecting a program. You will info on how to select which MSB / LSB CC you are sending to the keyboard.

Have a play about with these settings, see what you got.
