I need a favour.

In my previous topic(http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=73283)I told you about my pads going crazy.I tried everything you suggested and nothing worked.I cantacted Akai support and they told me to remove the ram and that didnt work either.I live in Greece and there is not an Akai distributor here,so I cant send it for repairing.So I think I will have to open it myself.And Im too damn scared to do this.This is where I need your help.If there are any pics of a 2500 opened I would like to see them before I go for surgery.Or if you are kind enough you could open your unit,take some pics and post them,and tell me what to do.Yeah I know Im asking too much,but I am really desperate.Thanks in advance.

Just a question, but what exactly do you intend on doing to it once you get it open?

i think you should send it to akai or an authorized dealer to get it fixed, i would advise you to dont open it and fruck wit it unless you know what your going to do

Oh come on, just open it up and at least check if the pads are sitting right.

There's nothing magical about it. It's just a few screws. And you got no warranty on it anyway.

thank you so much..that was exactly what I was looking for.One more question Stilo,do you think that if I open it I will be able to fix it myself?I mean,my problem has to do something with the pad sensor.Will I be able to diagnose and fix the problem just by removing the top?

Open it up, remember what goes where, organize those screws, continue to take apart the thing, do what you gotta do, and go back reverse with all your parts peices and screws, you'll be fine.
