My MPC doesnt load samples anymore?

When I try to load this particular program with the samples, it will load 2 of the samples, and the rest wont get loaded.

So I tried to just load the rest of them one by one manually, and when I click Do It, some of them will say "loading for a split sec" and then stop, and some will say "wrong file"

Does anybody have any ideas?

could be that the samples aren't 16-bit...

I have a backup of everything thats on the CF card, so I tried to just copy over the files that werent loading or are "wrong"

but it wont let me even do that, it says that the "file or or directory in corrupted and unreadable"

So I try to delete it, but when I delete it, nothing happens, it gets replaced by a 0kb copy of it by the same name.

Then obviously the folder is corrupted. Create a new one and copy your backup files in there.

yeah, figured as much, already done.

how does one go about avoiding this?

I mean, i didnt do anything that warrants my shit to be corrupt, its not like the mpc moves or anything, the card never leaves the slot.

The only thing i can think of is sometimes ill turn off the mpc while its still playing, but i dunno how that would affect the card.

Did you ever load the existing project, make changes to it, then overwrite the project files (and samples)? If so, then you're dealing with the save bug.

I'm pretty sure I did, whenever I save I alway save with samples (overwrite the ones on the card), is this a bad habit?

For now, while this current bug is still active, yes it is. The corrupted files are due to existing files being overwritten. To avoid this, just save entire memory to a new folder, then delete the older project files. There have been plenty of threads on this issue, so if you do a search you'll find more.
