Editing samples?

is there no way to tune a sample if it isn't a program? i don't like that pitch shift thing...and when you change the tempo, is there a way to do it without the effects on it? they sound all fuzzy. i just switched over from the 2000xl, maybe i just need to get used to it.

Try to hit Window on some of the fields in Trim....I think it's on the name of the sample.

good look...i guess i should have checked that out...the effects like "fem vox 1". they had those on the 2000xl, but they really didn't effect how the sample sounded when you changed the tempo...i guess when i change the tempo, the change isn't smooth like it should be. i don't know if it's the OS i'm using or what.

I guess you mean it sounds bad after you stretch it? You should not overdo the stretching, more than +/-10% dont sound good usually. And the 2500 has the different settings as well, and they don't make any difference either, just like on the 2000XL

Timestrech and pitch shift sucks on the MPC. Im using the serato plugin in pt to do that now.

it was straight on the 2000xl, and since i've updated my OS it sounds much better on the 2500
