Bad Input..

My left input is flowers. The signal is waay lower than the right. I trouble shooted it thinkin it was a faulty cable or a bad output. A few months ago my volume pot went bad and I had to replace it. I've had 2k's and XL's and never had problems. They dont make em like they used to I guess. Hopefully it's just a solder job. this is bullshht!

yeah my left output died within a month, but after that, no other hardware probs.

My jog wheel has about 6 dead "clicks" in it now. Shoddy shit.

How's that? There's only 1 switch in that jog wheel.

I think I know what he means. Sometimes you can rotate the dial, once click and the value will increase by one. Whereas sometimes you can turn that dial many times and the values dont increase.

It may seem like you have a dead spot. But is it always in the same place?

That's what I wanted to say. I don't believe there are "dead spots". There is only one switch that can turn on and off, sending an impulse.

Now if it sometimes slips one or two notches that may be a sign it's passing out.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean and yes, they are always in the same spot.

These have been starting to go on the 1000's and now I guess we're next...

Since reading this, I have started to use the plus and minus keys below the wheel to increment by one. Like when I scroll through MIDI programs. Suppose thats gonna help a bit, its a lot less frustrating.




Has anyone had to replace a wheel before? On a 2000 for example - how hard was it to do? Soldering required?
