I have been tracking out my beats for quite some time now...i do this by have my MPC / Fantom slaved to my Pro Tools and then muting out each instrument and recording them in.

Until today I had always recorded in mono, i switched some things around so now I am recording the tracks as stereo (sux i wasn't doing it sooner)...anyway after doing that and tracking out some beats...the first one worked fine as usual...

But the second when I highlight a 4 bar region of the beat (its 4 bars at 88.9 temp pt is at 88.9 as well) and try to loop it for playback i get pops and click when it loops...mainly this appears because of the boundary of the bar versus the instrument. If I switch back to mono recording I STILL have the problem.

I think it might relate to the kick etc... overlapping the boundary, but there has to be other people having this issue...

In the mean time I'm gonna have to track this one how in full length. But please if you know help me!

There's a slight delay. That's what's causing the clicks and pops. It has nothing to do with stereo or mono.

Adjust your sample rate in Pro Tools. The smaller the sample rate, the less delay, thus clearing clicks and pops.

Oh man you are so right! I totally forgot about sample rate for a second, was focusing on the wrong part of the issue! Anyway, I will try this tonight with that same beat that gave me issues and paste my results. I'll let you know, but I am confident your right.

Thank you.
