Problems importing 16 bit wav files

Hello,

I'm using an audio editing program on the Mac called DSP Quattro (version 2) to record samples from records. It's just easier for me to edit the samples on the computer, then export them via USB to the MPC 2500.

When I record a new sample, I have DSP Quattro set to record 16 bit, 44.1 Khz WAV files. Trouble is, when I export to the MPC, the MPC won't read the file. It doesn't even display as a file when I try to import it from the memory card.

I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that DSP Quattro creates something called raw WAV files, and that the MPC is looking for PCM WAV files. I can't find any options in DSP Quattro to save/export out as PCM WAV files.

What I have to do is load up the sample in a different audio editor called Peak, then save as a 16 bit WAV file. Then the file works on the MPC with no problems.

I'd really not have to use Peak to "fix" all of these raw WAV files. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to be able to use the WAVs from DSP Quattro?

OK, I found the problem. DSP Quattro was not saving the file with the .wav extension. I added it and the files play fine.

yeah this happened to me simply place the extension .wav then the samples will work 16bit.
