kicks not loud plz helpppppppp

ok i got my fantom x6 ran into the record left of the mpc 2500 and i have it turned all the way up i leave the record on the mpc all the way down so there is no feedback but when i hit a key on the keyboard i get a load sound for keys and snares and everything but when i try the same for the kick or bass line it is only a low signal to low to use can someone plz help?

Why would you turn the rec gain down? You need to turn it up and adjust it.

What's with the feedback? Have you turned the monitor off at the record screen? You shouldn't have to worry about lower levels to avoid feedback.

Yeah, like LivePsy said, there shouldn't be any feedback. Make sure you turn monitor off on the mpc. Also, make sure you sample in mono left since you're only using one side. It would also be wise to make sure that the output coming from the fantom is in mono. If you're only sampling half of the signal, it would only be natural that you're kicks aren't as loud as they could be. If the fantom doesn't have a mono settiing than try panning your sounds to whatever output you're using (unless you're using y-cables)
If you've been doing everything right and you still get low drum levels, then you're either gonna have to start normalizing your kicks or start turning everything else down so the levels are in balance. Hope this helps
