Volume adjustment on a Track

Is volume a function of the assignable pad only, rather than the track itself. Im wondering can i adjust the volume on a individual track rather than the volume of the pad/sample . i have the same pad/sample assigned to different tracks with different pitches, one sits nicely, while the other just needs abit of volume adjustment. peace.

I think on the main page between TR and MUTE you'll see V% so you can adjust volume down to what you want.

Also you could use STEP EDIT ,Awesome feature though and I enjoy some of the other things you can do in that mode too.

Chapter 5 in the manual.....Once in the mode hold F2 to select your track (if your not already at the track you want to edit) and V: for Velocity is the setting you'll need to change....I use this all the time with midi sequencing...I luv it.

Thanks 1A for responding. Yeah im aware of the velocity pressure adjustment but it doesn't affect the track once its laid down. I quess I'm just wondering how folks mix inside the mpc. How do I adjust the volume of tracks once created, independant of the pad. Maybe im missing something.

there's an internal mixer on the mp.

You can also automate the mix I believe..
Havent tried that one yet.

I would set up a comppressor on FX1 (assuming you have it available)
and then route the individual pads to it.

You can increase the volume that way.

But I'm not sure you can do it by TRACK.

(But I am just learning as well)
