What it do? I just bought an mpc 2500 becuse im tryna get away from using computer programs. I use fl studios and cool edit pro and frankly im tired of the digital coumputer-ish soulja boy sounding beats. Anyway i have a moble pre that i use to record and my question is i want to use my pc speakers along with my m audio bx5 studio monitors at the same time can i hook the mpc up to the mobile pre to the studio monitors and my pc speakers? If not how can i do so?

Also since i dont have a keyboard right now i will probably use fl studios to do some stuff can i sync fl studios to the mpc?

Right now all im workin with is my pc, the mpc 2500, a pair of m audio bx5, and my mobile pre. Next month ill go grab a yamaha motif probably used off of ebay and a mixer.

Thanks in advance!

If I understand what your trying to do is use your mobile pre to run sound from your mpc to your monitors, and to your computer for recording, right? To do it the way I have mine set up you would need a mixer. Your monitors would be hooked up to a set of outs on your mixer. your mpc would be plugged into one of the available channels on the mixer (so the sound from your mpc would be going into the mixer obviously). and your mobile pre would be hooked up to the monitor out or headphone jack on the mixer (headphone works the best and loudest for me). This would make it so you could tune using the mixers low, mid and high knobs to help make your mix sound good, while at the same time would allow you to record into your pc without having to unplug and re-plug things.

Hope this answers your question.

no im not going to be recording i wanted to use my pc speakers and studio monitors at the same time when im making a beat.

So i will need a mixer to hook my studio monitors to the mpc? Or can i hook my monitors directly to the mpc?

why do you want to use your pc speakers and your monitors at the same time? the whole point of "reference" monitors are to correctly tune your mix so that your songs sound good on any stereo. Would be a complete waste of money if you bought monitors and arent going to use them the right way. You can hook the monitors right up to the MPC but your not going to be able to sample off of vinyl without a mixer or make very many adjustments mixing with only your MPC's internal mixer. Go to a pawn shop. a standard 2 channel dj mixer should be super cheap and be fine to get you started.

Hope that helps, let me know if you need more help! Or pm me if you want to talk on the phone, always happy to help out a fellow digger.
