Tips on backing up projects....

Ok, the other night I went to load up a track i had make a while back and it was corrupted. I know i should have had a back up but what is the best way to do it? do you save on your computer? or do you just make several copies in your mpc hard drive? any tips?

it depends on how important your projects are. if i was doing a project for someone else, i would back it up to the pc straight away.

then all my pc has windows backup which backs off to a external usb drive.

personally i copy all my projects off to my pc every month or so. or until my i have about 20gb worth of files.

so can i just click and drag via usb to my pc? or do i need to convert the files?

Well I got an mpc2kxl. I remember 1 time I stuck my cf card into my computer and when I put it back into my mpc some of my files would not load. So I also have no clue how to back up.

Yeah, just go to the load menu, USB connect. Then your pC should detect the MPC as an external drive and now you can treat it as a normal USB harddrive.
Drag and drop, cut and paste, all the windows explorer functions are there for you.
