Hi all,

So here's my problem. After I accidentally turned the jog wheel while my internal 80GB Drive was connected onto my computer,a mac, I hotswapped my MPC without properly unmounting the drive.

I checked, all of the data is still on my drive. However, when I want to mount the Hard Drive, it goes automatically to the Memory Card.

As a result, impossible to read my MPC internal drive onto my computer. I tried to reboot the MPC, reboot the computer, reinstall the OS...nothing.

If I flashed my drive, how come I can still play the data saved on it..? Does anyone know how to fix this up? Do I have to change my drive?? I'd really like to find a solution as this drive holds more than 20 GB of precious work...

Thanks a lot for your help! :)

Did you select the hard drive in the USB screen?

what happens when you switch back to hard drive?, does it switche back to memory card again ?

normally you should be able to switch between hard drive and memory card after the device finishes mouting.

Alright... Thanks a lot for your help but this seems to be a serious MPC bug as I didn't ind any other way but to save my most important projects and format my whole drive.

What happened, I guess is that by accidentally turning the wheel and thus closing the USB connection between the MPC and the computer, I must have corrupted some files. The drive needed yet to be reformatted so that everything would be in order, which I did.

To answer both questions, yes, I tried to turn the jog wheel many times to select the HD instead of the memory card but it would either mount the memory card, even if the HD was selected, or not do anything at all.

Hot swapping USB drives is never a good thing but the MPC got corrupted a little easily to my taste. If anybody had some suggestions, you are very welcome! On my side, I know backup my whole drive onto my computer.

Thanks again for your help! :D
