2500 preamp, how good?

are good the 2500 preamp?
i've a fireface 800 and i want to buy an mpc to use it as creative tool, so also to record riff and than create the beat, is better if i use the fireface standaloone for its preamp or the akai preamp are good too?

mpc's are not preamps.

there isn't a input? where you can plug a instrument and record it? or a mic and record it? and there is the gain.. so this is not a preamp?
