song convertion

i got my sequences together and all that, so i put them together in a song and then converted them into a sequence. all good til now.

when i play the extracted (song into a) sequence it seems like the mpc just forgot some tones and thre some other shit around. what the hell is this?

sequence by sequence, all good. sequences in the song mode, all good. song, hell no.

help!

I think if you want to convert sequences into a song, the program assignments for all sequences must be the same, or the MPC messes it all up.

^^^^ that was the exact answer i was going to give, but reading the question again made me think why it worked in song mode without sounding off...

are there other settings beside the programs that are different on the sequences? mixer automation? different effects? q-link events?

As long as you only play it in Song Mode, it isn't an issue at all. It's just like using Next Sequence to play them. It's the conversion algorithm that **** it up.

so basicly this is some bullshizz i can't fix except for making the program changes manually? my quick solution at that point was just recording the song in song mode to my computer through telecables via soundforge, but i somehow felt the sound picture wasen't the same as a recording directly on the mpc. right?

just move or copy the tracks in all of your sequences so that track 1 uses the same program across all sequences, track 2 uses the same program across all sequences, etc.

tracks within a sequence can only have one program assigned to them, so when you convert a song to a sequence it keeps whatever program was assigned to to each track in the first sequence to the new sequence.
