Can I save/load sounds/samples via USB to my Mac?

Basically, what I want to do is save and load sounds and samples from my Mac via a USB cable. This would make things much easier and render the CF card useless. Is this possible?

PS: Yes I did a search and read most of the manual.

CF card is never useless. Re-read the USB/CF parts again and understand what you are reading... CF plays a specific role...

I actually found the part in the manual that I was looking for regarding this and I see that you cant do what I want. Only other option is to install a hdd.

Thanx though. Turns out that only mpc that can do this is the 5000 if I'm not mistaken.

i believe you're mistaken. i think the 5000's usb works just like the 2500, 1000 and 500 in that it's a slave and your computer has to be the host. you can access the drives on your mpc from the pc or mac, but not the other way around.

I think you didn't realise that you have to transfer to some media in your MPC. Use the CF card to save your samples to from the Mac, and load them into your MPC from there, and all of a sudden your CF card becomes pretty useful again, eh?
