Wow, again.... My 2500 broken.

No april fools here.... Really.

This is the 4th time my 2500 breaks and I'm getting sick of it.

First I had problems with the pads (I've sent it to akai, they fixed it).
Then a week later my 16 levels key and some of the cursor buttons stopped working (again sent it to akai, they fixed it again). Then my scroll wheel broke and I had to sent it in again, this time they gave me a brand new machine... I was happy for about 4 months now, but it's broken again.

This time the f3 key stopped working. It's a **** shame.

And I swear it's not me breaking it. I have a sp303 since it came out, a sp404 since it came out, a 10 year old emax and a s1000. All still working perfectly. I treat all my machines very very well.

What do you guys think about this? I'm getting sick of sending in my 2500 and then waiting 2 weeks to get it back. And in one month of so the warranty runs out. What y'all suggest me to do?

maybe the new one they sent you was a refurb? i suppose my suggestion would be to pretend like nothing is wrong and when something breaks, suck it up and make akai fix it. obviously that causes you a lot of grief but do yourself a favor and take a chill pill and do what you gotta do to get it fixed. hopefully something goes down where they give you another new one? i dunno. only god knows..

tact switches, man. they go on you sometimes. sounds like you've in particular had a rough time with them. if you want to keep any MPC you're probably gonna have to learn to solder new tact switches in, all that sh!t

worth it to know, you can get it done in 10 minutes, spend a total of 10c for the tact switch (five bucks for 100 of them on ebay) and be back in business.

or if you REALLY wanna be a hero, you could figure out for us a more resilient, tough tact switch replacement and retrofit your mpc with nicer tact switches
