loop problem

hi all. having some strange issue here and cant lock it down.,

have a 256 bar song (made from joined seq) and just finishing it off.

so i have bars 155 - 256 set on the Loop but the actuall loop function is OFF.

then I try to record midi in (ch 2B) from the 1st - 8th bar and nothing happens.

I have to set the loop to the 1st bar even tho the loop is set to OFF.

maybe you ran out of seq memory? even if you have the 128mb sample memory installed the mpc has only about 1,6mb of memory for sequence data and there are only 100.000 notes capacity in the sequencer. this may sound huge, but if you do a lot of midi, or slider movement or even polyponic aftertouch recordings from a keyboard this 100.000 notes are used very fast.
to check hit mode pad2 and look at the free seq memory.
