mpc 2000 drum programs transfered to 2500 problem......

transfered the files...when i load them it wont load all the sounds.....just a few.......it doesnt say its a error...but it will not load the whole program.....help a brother out!!!......

I've been doing the same. I found I had to rename some samples with long names and assign the same program to every track in a sequence.

Maybe try to rename the samples in the computer?

Did you do load all sequences and all programs or what? I never heard anyone doing this. I going through the process right now.

nah......the programs were transfered from zip disk to my mpc2500.....then i try to load the program and it dont load every sound to the program........just a couple...but it doesnt sat error or nothing!!!! i retry same thing...when i loaded them on the 2000 it loads the whole program.........so its mpc2000 prgms being loaded on mpc2500....on the akai website it says it works......

Go and look at the samples in program mode. If they have a question mark in front of them it means the mpc is looking for a sample of that name but can't find it. 2000 sample names get truncated to 8 characters in the conversion process, so you have to go to each pad assignment and reassign the samples that originally had names with more than 8 characters.

At least, that is what I've had to do.

No, the 2500 won't read 2k .aps or .all files, I just loaded single .mid and .pgm files. Anyway, I've done them all now.
