I have a mpc 2500, technics sl-1210 mk2 and i want to hook these together as well as with a laptop so i can use all three together. I want to sample vinyl using the turntables to the mpc so i cant use chop shop etc. and then be able to arrange music etc. on the laptop. I just need to know what equipment i need e.g. wires, plugs, software, hardware?. I have looked everywhere to try and find out how to do this but i cant find anything about it and i appriciate it if you can help me out. Peace.

Hi!

It should look like this:

from Turntable Outs --> to DJ Mixer/Studio Mixer In | from DJ Mixer/Studio Mixer Out --> to MPC 2500 Record In | from MPC2500 Main Out/Assignable Outs --> to Laptops Audio Interface In...

I hope that helps

And the cables you'll need

Would be a 2xchinch to 2x 1/4 Jack cable (to hook up the turntable with the mixer)
And a couple of 1/4 Cables to hook up the rest

If you want to record your music into your laptop you should also have a Midi Connection between the Laptop and the MPC, to sync them up...

So:

MPC's Midi Out --> Audio Interface's Midi In

Then set the MPC sync setting to Master 1 | Midi Clock | Send MMC (on) |

And set your DAW on the Laptop to recive MIDI information

PEACE
