MPC 2500 VS MPC 1000

I know its been brought up but I just want to confirm what I've read last night in this forum. The mpc1000 with a jjxl is the same as a mpc 2500 with a jjxl right? and that basically your just paying for more outs. I'm going to be buying an mpc but cant decide on wich one. I wont be hooking it up to a pc until I get to know it enough.

As well as support for CDs, CD Roms, and DVDs. Plus you you have additional Q-links which are more robust. The advertised selling price of the MPC 2500 is now only $500 more than the MPC 1000.
