1000 vs 2000xl

Hey new to the board and just wanna say this board is so sick and has so much info!
Ive been lurking on here for a minute now and im wanting to purchase my first mpc. Just wondering as im just starting i have tech 1200s and mixer and lots of vinyl(dj) and was wondering what Mpc would be the best to get should i get the 1000 or 2000xl. I was thinking of picking one off ebay or heading down to the local music store. Iam hestitant on the 1000 with all the pad issues but im stoked on the jjos but at the same time the 2000xl just calls my name. Im probably just going to be sampling vinyl and the sorts so what would be the better choice?

The pad issue has been resolved for quite some time. As long as you purchase a newer 1000 you wont have any issues other than a crap os which has also been solved. I personally chose the 1k because it was right in the middle of size, price, power and overall feel of what I was looking for.

Had the 1000 been out when i bought the 2k, I would of gotten the 1000.

try to see if there a way to check them out hands on...you might be able to feel wich one u want...i myself like both of them..

Mpc 1000 features that feels partly like a 2kxl: MPC2500.

I got a 2000XL and always thought the 1000 was a toy (this was b4 the 500 came out).
That was until I messed around with my friends 1000 and I was pretty amazed at what that little thing could do. Especially with the JJOS installed.
I like the simplicity and feel of my XL but 1000 has more modern features.
It's all up to you and what you want to do with your MPC. Test 'em both out.
