That digital lag! (MPC2500 vs MPC4000)

I read that one. Was just joking. I have a cell phone and a 3yr old I-pod. No blackberry or fancy shit so people always say I'm outdated. So I'm familair with all the when I show my 'gadgets'.

You are talking about processor/memory/buss speed bottlenecks I presume and not digital lag through SPDIF?
It's normally down to the OS; how it's coded, how much it can do and how much it taxes the system, although faulty/crappy/failing components can be a factor.
I use JJOS2XL on the 2500 and it can be ever so slightly sluggish at times, but nothing to get me frustrated.
