yeah i ve done all my searching for now...i was going to go with the old but i started to see that maybe staying with current tech would be a wiser decision plus i got out bid hehe so that decided it...i was going to save up for a 2500 cause its better than the 1000 with more features but i got a deal on the 1000...560 with the new pads mint condition and i am still not sure if it has the ram upgrade or jj os 
but for the price compared tp new its going to be SICK!! 
the ram isnt that expensive from what i saw and i also was thinking of gettin a 2 gig sandisk cf cause it only comes with the 128 meg..so its still costing me but it will be worth it..than maybe ill sell it for 2500
