akai mpc 3000 vs mpc 2500

Hi)from Russia with love$) I can't decide what to buy -3000 or 2500///I had mpc 1000 for a year,but she sound to me a bit plastic, and the swing/timing was awful and tiny pads.... so I want to take a 3000 but I don't have even a pro sound card, so I couldn't take my beats off the 3000, and there is some troubles with chopping a sample(no graphic representation of a sound wave)(((but if I take 2500+ jj os I think I won't need a computer at all(thinking about re sampling my beat=take it from the mpc)

^^^Pretty much. If you didn't like the sound of the 1000 then your not gonna like the sound of the 2500 because they're the same but added features and cosmetics. Yeah, I always felt the pitch tuning wasn't warm enough on samples on the newer MPCs. But you can always route it thru an effect for warmth.

Can't you just record into the mic input of your server?

sound on the new mpc is pretty awful imho//they sound so plastic and unreal with shitty swing/timing....but if I buy mpc 3000 I will have another problem - how to deal with 3000(chopping with my ears). SO I had another question If I buy 3000 and shitty sound card(for200$) do I still have the oldie but a goodie warm old fashioned sound?

for $200 you should be able to score a decent audio/midi interface

buy a 2500 and run it through a shitty old school sampler such as yamaha su10 or dr sample sp 202. so you have the technology of the 2500 and the old school sound of the old sampler.

alternative way, do the sampling on a su10 and then sample into the mpc, so you have the old school sound. you dont have to spend another 1000+ euros for new gear just for the bigger pads. after all, it's all about sampling rate, bit depth and eqing.

if i had 1000+ euros i would buy a drum kit or go to studios here and there and sample different drummers playing, so i have my own breaks that would be far from being plastik.
