Or get the 3000 to sequence ableton Live.
Once I have set-up all my samplers in ableton with my chops and drums I only have my eye on the mpc when I sequence.
Personely I am really liking this combo. With the drumracks in ableton it's so easy to work in mpc style. It's more versatile when it comes to tweaking, layering and FX and stuff. Rewire it with plugins or Reason or whatever.
Still can hit the rec+play button and bang the pads, leave it in overdub and lay down the next track.
When sequencing is done you can record the arrangement in there as well. Vocals on top, bounce it and done.
