Pros & Cons of 2500 & 4000

can some 4k or 2.5k users please respond. i need some help.

I bought my current gear making beats!

Heres my Comparison of the two units thus far:

* Advantages Of MPC-2500 *

- Patch Phrase
- Auto slice
- Input thru

Advantages of MPC-4000

- 6 banks of sounds verses 4
- 4x More Memory
- More Digital Out Options (8 digital outs via ADAT)

The software advantages of the 2500 could POSSIBLY be added to the 4000 by Akai or even a 3rd party Programmer such as JJ which would make the 4000 a sure shot but it doesn't look like NewAkai is focusing on the 4000 at all.

Now I need to know how does the midi grid editing of the 2500 compare to the 4000? I've read all of the manuals and updates and cannot get a grip on the 4000s midi editing feaures in 1.71. Does it even have grid editing?

yo fam i feel your pain, lol The truth is most people on here couldent give you a list like that because they dont even know. Your dealing with a bunch of I-Nerds.. im doni my research also on these things and its just not documented clearly.. and people dont want to talk about it so the only way to learn is by trying them shits out... unfortunately

the 4000 cant do autoslice or patch phrase? i thought it could...

can someone just take 4min out of their time and help this dude out for phucks sakes! this is what the forums are for, there is nothing better to do apparently for most of us so help a man out!
