the DR and sync

teveryone says the DR uses 3 mpc 3000 because he doesnt want to xchange disks which begged the Q have does he start them all at the same time and the reply was 'sync them all togeather and and when you play start record all will then start....

my q is

if i i got a mpc 4000 and a mpc 2500 could this work if i hooked them up to my 2kxl????

oh and if i got a yammaha motif could i sequence it from the mpc insted of using the seq on the motif???#
