(I read a question on future producers. the question was? what is the best mpc out there? cost is not impotant i just need to know whats a good mpc?)

This is what i replied.

The mpc 1000 is a good start. It has become a work horse because of the jj os. IF the pads are and issue to you later on upgrade the pads from the mpc parts upgrade site.

I never said that the 1000 was the best but i got a lot of nasty grams about other modles like the 2000xls or 3000.

My opion is why spend all that money on the bigger models when this 1000 can (Almost) do every thing the other ones can. the diffrance to me is the fee.l because i have work with the 2500. i like how it feels but i still dont need to buy it becuse the 1000 does the same thing just as good. i also stated that it depends on what you are using it for:

any thoughts on my summery!!!

i always thought questions like those were kinda silly. Whats best for me sure isnt whats best for you. I dont know if i would like to use the 2000xl because of the OS, since its not jj's and because i like being able to load up tons of drum samples, but then im sure i would like the pads on the 2000 more.
So maybe the right answer would be having the 1000(or 2500) as the brain and also having the 2000 and a master controller. I would probally enjoy the larger pads and not having to fear them going dead.

I fully Agree,

JJ's o.s is programmed based on the mpc1000 so o.s functionality theirs no real difference, but only in hardware e.g assignable outputs, assignable dials, the pads - (they can be upgraded tho) , and the internal cd/dvd drive.

Kind of depends on what your loking for.If you want want more current computer compatiblity than the 1000/2500 would be fine.On the other hand if you want to go more towards analog the 60/60II,3000,2000/xl would be fine too.All have their strong and weak points.I still preffer the analog type of things so the 1000/2500 aren't my bag.Just my .02.

2kxl is not "more analog" sounding than the 1k or 2.5k. It's more like user's preference. Why change when the 2kxl is still relevant? Plus, it's not like the converters of the 1k or the 2.5k are better than the 2kxl.

Best is in the eyes of the beholder.

Technically, it's 4k.
