I currently have an MPC1000, Ive been using it for a little over a year now. In this time ive learned alot! When I first started I wasnt a fan of the OS, so I tried JJ and things got alot better! Once I started getting a large library of sounds I realized I either needed a bigger CF or a hard drive, both of which I tried. Perhaps I havent read enough or my patients wore out, but everytime I made files, weather they were created on my MAC/ CF then transfered back to the MPC1000 or the files created in the MPC itself, the programs I load can never find the samples/wavs "file not found" again and again.
This is just my personal opinion but I think the file system, FAT16 right? Is so tedious and frustrating to work with it makes me not want to use it.
Anyways, I am curious about you 2500 users. Does anyone have issues with the file system? What are the drawbacks of the 2500? Its funny, you read posts in the 1000 section and everyone likes it better, you come here... well you get the picture. Im just strongly considering an MPD24 but I would be limited to my iMac.
