Considering a 2000XL

I was thinking about getting a 2000XL. I currently have a 1000 and learning how to use it is fun for sure.

Anyway, I had a couple of questions:

1. What would be a great price for a used base model one? ie, $300, $400, $600?

2. How much of a learning curve will I have using a 2000XL?

3. Since I use the USB on my 1000 to load samples, how much more work is it with the 2000XL?

1. Can't really tell you since I'm in Europe and prices in the US are mostly lower. If I remember correctly 3-400$ is a good price in the US from what I've read on here. This also depends on the condition, the expansions, etc...

2. If you're used to an mpc, I figure you'll be banging beats in no time. I find this machine really easy to use and really intuitive.

3. I use a card reader in mine. This is probably your best option. These card readers seem more expensive now than they used to be though. Lots of topics on card readers in the 2000 forum so check there for more info.

1- yeah a good deal would be $300 or $400. I would imagine it would be beat up a little for that price though.

2- the 2000xl workflow is better than the 1000. The menues are organized better and you dont have to hit shift and use the pads as buttons.

3- dont know that one. All i know is turntable to mpc
