just purchased a 4000, i compared it with the mv 8800

hello fellas, i hate computers, but i will give my opinion on the two products , one i believe is for new guys, and the other for old school, for a real musician, the 4000 feels and sounds right, it has flavor, the mv is cold and steril, i wanted to like it with all its features, but the headroom was poor, it just had a real cheap feel and sound about it, i have been out of the game for a while, but i am back. i hope you guys can help me get back in the game, peace.[/quote]

I've been using the 8000 for half a year straight now, very beautiful and powerful machine. I'll be buying a 4000 soon so I can use both of em together. Hopefully Nukai doesn't come out with an updated version or nothing, that'd piss me off.

Hey, I got a question, if I'm recording a sequence in a loop, does the record mode go back to overdub at the beginning of the loop in the 4000?

well i dont know what kind of outboard equipment you have, but my manley massive passive could not warm that thing up.

I have both the 4k and the Mv-8800 and neither is cold or sterile.

some people just dont have a good ear, thats life.
