1000 Vs 2500

hi there i know its probably been asked a million times but i cant find the info i'm looking for.....
basically ive decided that i'd be better off with a 1000 than a 2000 xl but is the 2500 better than the 1000 or not?

cuz i typed in the search section

1000 and 2500 (and is the key)
and delegated it to the mpc comparasion forum and wow on the second page is a 1000 vs 2500 that is two pages long.
