Another MV8000 vS MPC4000 thread, done proper hopefully?

get a mv and try it..keep it it suits you well or better, sell or return it if not..lots of threads on this board say the same, you cant make a decision by beeing told by other ppl how it works for them..

mv is a powerfull machine, mpc is a powerfull machine..depending on how you use this power,
it might work with you or against you..

I've had my MV8000 (w/ VGA) since January and I am still learning new sh!t on it.
It's a major change coming from the 2000XL but I over came it.
I just wish the MV had a scrolling cursor.

I bought my mv 8800 with 17" Screen and mouse and i sold the screen because i tried it few times but it just didn't feel good i like that you don't have to move your head or your eyes searching for the right function or something.. felt like i was using an old computer. But that's just me. I Love my mv 8800. it's a beast.. i used to use mpc 2500, i think the sound is better on mv but i don't know for sure because i don't have them both at the same time. Well with both i got the work done so no complaints.
I haven't had any timing issues with mv, i heard someone talking about it.. well i don't use quantize so maybe it's those quantize settings or something that you'll have to adjust.. i haven't tried quantize yet with mv.. maybe i'll try some day .

Since Roland had to compete with the MPC 4000 and now the MPC 5000, they are coming out with an editing program for the MV series.
