mpc choice, please help

i have a mpc1000 available to me for 600,
and a 2000xl for 550

i kinda want a mpc 2000xl, cuz its sounds lil warmer i heard, and there sturdy machines. but i just need help choosing.

oh yea and i know i would need a turntable but what kind of chord to get into the mpc, and just ure opinions on what mpc to get

The XL is a better machine because of the pads.
The 1k is a better machine overall.

For $600 I hope it's a black unit not blue.
Also budget yourself for the improved pads for thge 1k.
If you change the pads and add the JJ OS, you should be happy with the 1k for a long time.
