Just looking at the 500 and 1000 and I was wondering why the 500 actually has both a dedicated Tap Tempo Button and Note Repeat button, whilst the bigger 1000 doesn't - it is a dual buttong ?

Silly question, but would appreciate some comment from anyone ( although not any harsh ones, please ).

I'm pretty sure that if the 1k lacked 4 pads and it's feature set was re-arranged a bit, it would sport both buttons too. But to be honest, it was probably a space saving decision on the 1k's part.

Thanks, Dabmeister .... yeh, I was thinking that the sapce issue must have been the answer. I was worried, though, that the dual aspect of the button on the 1000 will shorten it's lifespan somewhat ( Ie, having to tap your tempos and then regularly be holding the very same button down for your rolls and trills, etc .....

... I will definately be making use of the Tap Tempo and the Nore Repeat, especially for the hi hats !
